News and Announcements
For those players still requiring bat testing, I will be available every thursday throughout the summer at 93 college crescent after 4:00pm. There is no cost and no need to call/text/email etc. i will be here unless i send out a notice that I won’t be. There is no cost to the players and every bat that is used in our league and our tournaments MUST be tested and stickered before they can be used in our league. please be sure to let your players know.
ALSO!!!! Next sunday april 29th (weather permitting) testing will be at the Georgian College Diamond from 10:30 am until 1:30PM
Pretty much predictable with the horrible spring we have had to endure. City of Barrie has officially delayed the start of the use of city diamonds to May 5th. This means that our regular season SHOULD start on May 6th assuming the weather cooperates. Unfortunately it also means the cancellation of the April 28/29 tourney. I will be in contact with all the tourney teams individually to determine what they want to do moving forward. It is certainly not something we want to happen as everyone is undoubtedly anxious to “play ball” but this move should help alleviate damage to the fields and possibly our players. We wholly support this decision of the City and understand that it was necessary to practice their due diligence.

I am emailing because we have heard through the residents and Ward Councilor that alcohol consumption is occurring at Lennox baseball diamonds. I am emailing the known permit holders to ask that you communicate to your teams/players that alcohol is prohibited in public parks. We are not aware of the specific times and dates and we are not implying that your teams are responsible. However, if you assist us by reminding your teams than we have all done our due diligence to communicate this issue.
Thank you in advance,
Welcome to the Barrie Slo-Pitch Association web site.
